Belmont Behavioral Hospital provides intensive outpatient programming (IOP) at a center in northeast Philadelphia. All patients who participate in treatment at this IOP center will receive individualized plans for treatment that are based on their needs. These plans are developed by the individuals in treatment and their clinical teams, and result from information collected during thorough assessments prior to the start of care. The treatment that we supply includes a variety of therapeutic services. For example, individual therapy is offered to help patients work on their recovery one-on-one with a counselor, while group therapy allows patients to work with one another under the direction of an experienced counselor to address a variety of topics. Patients in the intensive outpatient program in northeast Philadelphia will also participate in psychoeducation, through which they will learn how their mental illnesses impacts their lives and will develop skills that can ward off relapse. In addition, patients may also participate in experiential therapeutic activities, including music and recreation therapy.
