The Camp Recovery Center – Scotts Valley Iop

At The Camp Recovery Center in Scotts Valley, treatment at the intensive outpatient program (IOP) level is provided to adults who have been struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. This program is best suited for patients who have completed treatment or who require a more intensive level of care than traditional outpatient treatment. While the length of stay in IOP at Scotts Valley varies based on the needs of the patient, the average time spent in the program is 12 weeks. During this time, patients will engage in a number of therapeutic interventions. Individual therapy sessions are held once every two weeks, and serve as a time for patients to meet with a counselor in a private setting. Additionally, patients will engage in group therapy three hours a day, four days a week. Topics addressed in these sessions can include relapse prevention, warning signs of relapse, managing post-acute withdrawal, stress management, boundaries, and communication. Through our intensive outpatient program, patients can obtain the comprehensive care needed to put an end to their compulsive behaviors.
