White Deer Run provides intensive outpatient programming (IOP) in New Castle, Pennsylvania, for adults who need care for substance abuse and co-occurring conditions. This program is ideal for an individual who is looking for more intensive treatment than is available through a traditional outpatient program, but who does not require 6 care. Adults who participate in IOP at the New Castle center will have the option of choosing a morning or evening track, which allows them to continue to meet their daily responsibilities. The intensive outpatient program offers patients nine hours of treatment a week. These nine hours are scheduled in three daily sessions, each of which contains three hours of therapy. The topics that are addressed in these sessions include education on the disease of addiction, recovery and stress management, physical recovery, and high-risk situations. Family therapy sessions can be scheduled on an as-needed basis. The length of time that a patient will engage in the intensive outpatient program in New Castle typically ranges from eight to 16 weeks, depending on his or her progress.
