At our center in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, White Deer Run offers intensive outpatient programming (IOP) to adult women and men who are grappling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Typical length of stay in IOP at Williamsport is eight to 16 weeks, though a patient's time in the program will depend upon his or her progress toward his or her treatment goals. While a patient is participating in the intensive outpatient program in Williamsport, he or she will complete nine hours of therapy per week. These nine hours are divided into three daily sessions, each of which contains three hours of care. Within these sessions, patients will address topics such as high-risk situations, relationships while in recovery, physical recovery, and education on the disease of addiction . Upon request, family therapy sessions can be scheduled. To accommodate our patient's schedules, IOP care is offered in the mornings and in the evenings.
